Sable House
A small collection of properties across the American interior, where the brief was provenance rather than polish, and where one mark had to belong fully to three towns that have very little else in common.
Magnetic Autumn
- Authentic
- Occult
- Raw
- Expressive
- Earthy
- Confronting
The pomegranate split open, the owl and the blood moon, and the only current that overtly honors loss.
A luxury boutique hotel gathering properties in Natchitoches, Marfa, and Silver City, where the governing decision was that each house keeps the architectural integrity and the history of the place it inhabits instead of flattening into a single corporate template. That decision creates a problem for an identity, since a mark elastic enough to sit on adobe, on brick, and on weathered timber tends to go so neutral it stops saying anything at all.
The Magnetic Autumn analysis is what resolved it. Magnetic Autumn runs warm and grounded and materially rich, and it carries enough contrast to hold its own against three very different architectures without needing to be restated in three different ways. The identity leans on material and depth rather than on shape, which is the part that travels.
Grey Sweater
An unsolicited rebrand for a James Beard Award-winning restaurant whose blind tasting menu refuses allegiance to any single culinary tradition, and whose previous identity was a grey monogram on grey.
